Another Strike Looms

strike.jpg

Some troubling questions still loom over LaLaLand.

When will the heads of the actors' unions start their talks with the big media moguls about a new contract?

And, can the union leaders painlessly negotiate a good deal for their members?

We're sure no one really wants another strike. The 100-day Writer's Strike cost the local LA economy an estimated $2.5 billion.

The studio suits have urged the unions to kick things off by April 1st.

And, A-listers like George Clooney and Meryl Streep cautiously stepped into the fray by taking out a full page ad in Variety leaders for a speedy resolution.

However, the Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg and Executive Director Doug Allen don't seem ready to jump in just yet. The leaders have said publicly they will push for an even better deal than the one writers got.

That smells like trouble!!!!

SAG and AFTRA, the two main actors' unions, are meeting this weekend.

Get it together!
